On the weekend of November 6-7, 2004, the last stop of 2004 for the Hunter Classics Amateur Women's Tour was also a celebration of their successful run of 11 Years!  The Hunter Classics Tour remains the largest, longest running, highest paying Regional Women's Tour in the country!

Vicki and Ed McKillop, owners of Big Daddy's in Alvin, TX, were great hosts and gave away over 100 gifts to the ladies.  Vicki and Ed have been hosting the Hunter Tour for 8 years!  The Hunter Tour ladies presented them with a plaque to show our appreciation of their support.  The Hunter Classics Custom Cue for this stop was valued at a new high record - $2,700!

At the final stop of the year, we crown the Most Improved Player and Tour Champion.  The nominees for Most Improved Player were a plenty as many of the ladies keep improving each year, and this year the title was awarded deservedly to Michelle Cortez of Austin, TX!

Leslie Anne Rogers won this stop on Sunday evening and also claimed the Hunter Classics Tour Champion title for earning the most points over the season on the Tour.  This is the fourth year In A Row she has won this title - a first in the history of Hunter Classics Tour.  This record will be tough to beat in the years to come. Congratulations, Leslie Anne, on another great year!

Final Three!

During the player's meeting on Saturday morning,
the ladies surprised newly engaged board member Melinda Bailey with presents and cake.  Melinda was blushing with happiness and was extremely surprised.  The board thanks everyone for their help in making this tour a joy to run for all the women who love to play pool!

Forty Eight women competed in this stop, many were from Texas, but some traveled from Louisiana, and Colorado.  While Leslie Anne Rogers won the tournament, she also won the WPBA Qualifier and $750 for her first place finish.  Tara McCracken, from Dallas, came in second and won $550.  Heather Pulford from Austin ,TX had a great tournament as well, defeating most of her opponents soundly throughout the tournament and won $400 for her third place finish.  Melinda Bailey placed her highest finish of the year by placing 4th and winning $240.

In the second chance tournament, Most Improved Player of 2003, Rachel Hurst, won the tournament out of 23 women.  Mini tournaments were held on Saturday to raise even more money to the already $100 added tournament.  Ellen Van Buren came in second and Sherry Pouncey came in third.
