Hunter Classics Tour Year 2000 in Review!

Another successful year for the Hunter Classics tour is completed. 
Over $25,000 in cash and prizes were awarded to the Hunter Classic tour members.

185 ladies from around the world competed in the tour stops in the year 2000.  The average attendance was 45 ladies per stop.  With the Legends stop attracting a record breaking 63 ladies!

Most Improved-Kawania Waston  (she plays w/a Hunter Cue!)

Perfect Attendanc-Nancy Goodwin-$200 drawing winner

Year 2000 Qualifier Winners:
Kim White-2 spots
Gail Lave-2 spots
Melissa Herndon-1 spot
Melanie Koger- 1 spot

Year in Summary:
1st stop:
52 ladies competed at Corner Pocket in Albuquerque, NM.   Gail Lave began a great 2000 season by winning the first event.  In true Hunter Classic fashion the final went hill-hill with Judy Byam

Amanda Lampert won the 2nd chance event.  She went on the win the BCA Nationals in  Las Vegas in May 2000. 

2nd stop:
A record breaking 63 ladies competed at Legends, in League City, Tx.  Kim White began her quest to be the Tour Champion by  winning this event.

Leslie Rogers-BCA Masters Player won the 2nd chance event.

3rd Stop
Kim White went on the win this stop to make it 2 in a row at Billiards, Burgers and Beer in Denver, CO. 

Again Leslie Rogers won the 2nd chance event.

4th stop:
Gail Lave claimed her 2nd win in Arlington, TX at Fast Freddys.  She won this event while recovering from injuries sustained in a recent car accident. 

Melinda Baily-Runner up in the 2000 Florida State Championship-won the 2nd chance event.

5th stop:
Pool Sharks in Las Vegas hosted the 5th stop.Melissa Herndon  from California won this stop in a tight race with Kim White.

Newlywed Aimee Peterson won the 2nd Chance event.

6th stop:
WPBA Pro Julie Mason won the event at G-Cues in Round Rock, Tx.

Leslie Rogers won her THIRD 2nd chance event.

7th stop:
The year ended at Big Daddy's in Alvin, Tx.  Sherri Hudson battled back with a 1st round loss to win the event.

Brenda Plantz from Denver, CO won the 2nd chance event.

The year 2000 saw many veteran Hunter Classics players along with several new faces.  The goal of the Hunter Classics Tour is to provide a friendly, respectful and competitive environment for ALL levels of women to compete. 

A great deal of the Hunter Classics Tour success is due to the ALL the players  that love pool and come to the event to challenge themselves.
