Hunter Classics Tour Year 2002 in Review!
Another successful
year for the Hunter Classics tour is complete! Over $25,000 in cash and prizes were
awarded to the Hunter Classics tour members.
161 ladies from
around the world competed in the Hunter Classics Tour in the year 2002.
The average attendance was 42 ladies per stop.

1st stop:
53 ladies competed at Fast Freddy's in Arlington, TX on January
26-27. 14 ladies paid the qualifier. This was the first tournament
that was true double elimination, and Sherri Hudson put it to the test
double dipping Orietta Strickland in the finals. Sherri Hudson won
the tournament and the qualifier.

won the 2nd chance event.
2nd stop:
36 ladies competed
at Corner Pocket in Albuquerque, NM on Feb 23-24. Leslie Anne Rogers
came in first, Orietta second.

Nash won the 2nd chance event.
3rd Stop
30 ladies competed
at Paradise Billiards in Denver, Colorado June 15-16. Rose McCrory
won the tournament, Leslie Anne Rogers came in second and won the Qualifier.

4th stop:
34 women played
at Speed's Billiards in Arlington, TX on July 13-14. Orietta Strickland
double-dipped Leslie Anne Rogers in the finals. Leslie won the WPBA
Qualifier and Texas State Open Qualifier.

5th stop:
42 women came
to compete for the qualifier spot at Legend's Billiards in League City on
August 10-11. Lisa Marr double dipped Sherri Hudson in the finals.
Lisa won the Qualifier.
Melinda Bailey
double dipped LaDonna Ulrich to win the 2nd Chance event.
6th stop:
39 women came
to compete in Las Vegas at Pool Sharks on September 14-15. 15 paid the qualifier,
and Lisa Marr again double dips her opponent in the finals to win the tournament
and the Qualifier. Leslie Anne Rogers comes in second.
Susan Mello won
the 2nd chance event.
7th stop:
The year ended
with a bang at Big Daddy's in Alvin, TX with 59 women coming to compete!
Leslie Anne Rogers won the Tour Championship, making it two years in a row.
Lisa Marr won the tournament and the WPBA Qualifier, making it three tournament
wins in a row! Deanna Henson came in second.
Amanda Lampert
won the 2nd chance event.
The year 2002
saw many veteran Hunter Classics players along with numerous new faces.
The goal of the Hunter Classics Tour is to provide a friendly, respectful,
and competitive environment for ALL levels of women to compete.
A great deal
of the Hunter Classics Tour success is due to the all the supportive players
that love pool and come to the events to challenge themselves. The
Hunter Classics Tour is the largest, longest running regional women's tour
in the United States!
